the bar riser is the Versys riser that mates to the Versys clamps. it's a proprietary setup for this bike and something i wanted to keep for this build if i could. very strong, much better than stock clamps with aftermarket risers.

the bars are ProTaper SE ATV High, and are a perfect bend for the riding position i like for long travel days. the silver bars on the bike are a little beat, so i ordered new bars in platinum.

Don't worry JD, I'm sure you'll do just fine.

Ohlins, FGK 30mm piston and springs. Non gas charged cartridge, rebound in one leg compression in the other. Getting a shock and a mortgage on the house. (jk about the mortgage.)

hope not. this rat is such a mishmash of different parts that the origin is going to be a little tougher to identify, especially when i clip the plastic mounting points off the tank.

center line of the axles, the rat is an even 4" longer than stock right now. looks ever bigger than that because of 19" front.

That puts it at .... what ... 59-60"... That's Vstrom territory with double the suspension travel in the front ... that is going to be a sweet handling ... plush riding rocket ... once you get the suspension sorted out ...

i have it at 59" using a framing square to project the centerlines to the concrete, so we'll see how it runs. should be interesting.

the main thing is to get the forks from a late model DRZ, the early forks were not fully adjustable.

Yep, little on the spendy side. I hope I don't have to do this twice. Unfortuneatly, I don't think the suspenders will make me faster than Marc Coma.
