DS riding

Check the Raleigh Fayetteville thread.
Not all of us live down in the sandbox area.

Live in triangle but hit the hills to DS ride.

Yadkin county resident here. I went through Wilsons Creek area yesterday. Near Brown Mountain (Morganton- Blowing rock area)

I am currently looking for a DS but have a KLR650, DR650 and triumph tiger at my disposal when I beg hard enough....

Give me a shout when you want to ride. Never too cold for me. I ride everyday to work. It was 11 degree's one morning last week.

BTW, we are looking at a New years day ride between I77- hwy421 interchange (where I stays) and Martinsville...

I've had my ZR-7 on a few gravel and sand roads. Riding back roads in north west NC and south west VA is where I am happy to ride though.

I'm up for New Years day if the temperature is above freezing and the roads are clear.

This is a great thing! Rockingham Co is stirring a little. Pork chop samich hell. Sloppy taco! I'm in for New years day riding. Sounds like we're all about paved and graveled. I am quite the lawn dart on dirt myself so I'm good with skipping the trails for this ride. Thumpers are great except ---- 1st ride on the dr650 yesterday and I made it all of 4 miles before my top box rattled itself loose and bailed off the bike. I gotta get good at this safety wire thing I guess.

Yeah, that number came from a bike, which became my email address, then my trackday number and finally a screen name. I guess I'm not very creative.

Much the same way lxstroker hasn't had a mustang since college.

We always started out in Danbury on the sport bikes. I don't know of any dirt or gravel roads in that area yet. I'm sure they're there, I just haven't been exploring on the dual sport yet. I know plenty of good paved roads in the area. Maybe start there and venture out depending on weather?

NCredneck, LXstroker and I could meet you in Madison or Danbury if that's where everyone wants to go.

So who's gonna be the first one to post up a GPX with some dirt and gravel mixed in?
