Looks like my small group is headed to Danbury then. We have to get to Martinsville VA at some point during the day to visit my friends mom.

It will probably be me on either a Triumph Sprint St or a Tiger (or if I can cut a deal on a KTM 950SMR.. ) and a friend on a DR650 and another on a Klr 650...

DandyDoug's ride is going to be a further south than I want to go. I'll be doing Danbury on the DR 650. 919Nick will be on his DR 650 as well. Rain or shine, the weather man is calling for 60 degrees on Saturday.

Y'all have fun and be careful.

I'm headed to get in one last ride at Brown Mountain before it's closed for the season. It's a tradition

PM me if'n you wanna join in. We're looking at either Thursday or Friday of this week.

Cool2

I'm up for the Danbury meet and eat and ride. Hell, if it rains it's less than two miles from home I'm also up for the Martinsville ride from Danbury.

You wanna take 311 business or hoof it up 220? Maybe Dodogetown?

I'm gonna ride to Philpott Damn by the back roads if possible. I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SPEEDING TICKETS. The VA state police does not screw around. We can figger it out at the restuarant.

This seems to be the most efficient route to Martinsville from Danbury.

New guy? New to riding or just new to the site? I just starting posting on this site when I recently traded for a DR650. Hell, I've only ridden it once. And that was just to Hooters and Cycle Gear.

98esten-- Did you used to have a WR250 and ride Brown mt? If so, this is Daniel. I used to have a CRF450r.

I dont care who comes but please just ride your own ride!! DO NOT FOLLOW ME INTO A TURN!!! Please.

We are all big boys and if some are keeping a faster pace then others or if somebody wants to head down a road that others do not then we can branch off at any time. No harm no foul.

Looks like I will be 2up riding my friends Triumph Tiger. He will be on a 09 White DR650 and we may have a 08 KLR650 and a Buell Ullyses with us.

919, I like that route. How much of it is dirt?

I think the only dirt on that route is Deer Rd at the western tip and Bull Mountain Rd Between Stuart and Fairystone Park. Both of which can be easily bypassed. I've never been on either though.

Bull Mountain Rd is normally well maintained gravel with a little bit of washboard on the uphills. To bypass it take 680 off of 58 by the Post Office in Patrick Springs. There are a few left turns so pay attention to the 680 signs. It dumps out on 57.

Cool. I love dirt as long as I have the right equipment.

I still wish I could get my 300XCW plated here in NC.....

Hey Blur,
If you see anyone looking for a nice Katoom 300 send them my way. It has @40 hrs on it and I cant see me being able to put many more.... I am tired of cleaning the cobwebs off a 09' bike.

I was on Bull Mountain Rd a couple weeks ago and it is in really good shape. The gravel stretch is only 2-3 miles.
