Another A+ !!

Thanks for the RR. Your self-deprecating writing style kept me chuckling. And the photos are beautiful.

Thanks for the report and the inspiration, once I started reading there was no stopping.

Wow, thanks to everybody for their compliments! I am so puffed up now that somebody better tell me that my report sucks.

Who says your "old"

Hey 52 is still young. I'm 57 and just starting to ride a lot again, mostly alone and on more gravel and dirt with my 1150gs. Your bike is really not that heavy compared to "miss piggy" when loaded with 80 lbs of gear.

Recover quickly from the hip surgery and think young and keep riding.

A+++ for the report and the road traveled.

Awesome report! Loved it!

I think the fact you did it alone and got in some situations where you were close to panic mode and still kept your head on shows a lot.

Hope you don't mine, but I will be using one of your quotes in the future.

Great RR, and you should give yourself a higher grade. Being scared is normal, but you rode through your fear which shows significant courage. I do not know how much pain your hip gave you, but mine use to hurt a lot. After my hip was replaced sweet comfort was had. I pray you enjoy the same relief that I did.

What a ride!

Just one question: this "foldable bed" which can be seen on some of the pics, what's that? Do you use it just for comfort, or is it maybe meant to keep away the scorpions in the desert? Haven't seen a thing like this before!

That is in the Aerostich catalog and it's a cot more for comfort than getting away from the pests. Been looking at one of those to get off the ground but never knew anyone that used one of them.

Very very nice!

I greatly enjoyed your report. You think a 6k trip is just a warm up? Buddy this is epic for all but the top couple of dozen of motorcycle riders. You did a great job.

I'd be interested in hearing more about your equipment and clothing.

Heal up...you got a lot more life in your years.

Dave
