From what I understand, it will make the low speed transition much more smooth, Many have purchased to help smooth out the off idle throttle response while off roading.
I hope that is what you are referring to??

Long term question... (To other inmates...I'm not knocking the product! especially since I've not used one...so no
ok) Just asking. I have read all the reviews and more postitive than not for a relatively inexpensive mod that seems to work. I also understand it gives an alternate temp reading to get the desired result so this may not be all true...but I asked a BMW tech about this and he said yes it should work except over time the computer will learn that something isn't quite right as original and compensate so it will end up negating the booster intent. Maybe singing the bavarian party line since we were at the dealership but seemed straight up. Anyone have any longterm usage input? And C Motorsports... were I to get one do you only have the longer version or can you get the shorter one? Thanks and continued luck with the sales.

Our SA conterpart has done considerable testing on both the long and short models, He has come to the conclusion that the longer version works best in all conditions. The Long version is all we import to the US.

we are the Distributer in South Africa ,to answer the issue above, the engine management receive the Temp input from the sensor in the air box this input is then change the amount of fuel send to the engine ,our device simply make the reading "wrong" or "false" by make the air Temp to "appear " colder, as a result the amount of fuel send at any given time of this reading is increase ,the engine management do not have the "tools" or the "intelligence" to "get used" to this input since if it is correct then the original input could be affected as well... as for the short or long version - according to our and independent testing (bike magazines and other Motorcycle mechanics ) we find out that the longer version work and respond better (5- 7 hp in low and mid range) and 6 - 13% better fuel economy hope I clarify the above |

CM and Shlowy - Thanks for the responses. Always nice to have an actual manufacturer of the product chime in.
