That's a picture that no one at Honda would have believed way back when these bikes were produced, thank's for posting.

Great report and Writing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my friends feedback to me after my forwarding the link:

Pretty funny alright! One of the best. Only ones that ever beat it were ole Super Hunky’s tales in the 70’s, and his GYDBT truck. I used to laugh till I cried at those…..

LOL, that is absolutely awesome. I can't believe that bike made it home as it was self destructing. I love the determination.

I also liked the part about "you have no ears". Reminded me of the part in Pulp Fiction when Mia Wallace asks Vincent Vega "Do you listen or wait to talk?", to which Vincent responds "I admit I usually wait to talk. But I'm trying harder to listen."

Laugh Honda 550x4 to Mexico

I rode those bikes new. They handled nice for the time but stock weren't exactly a ball of fire even then, but with a Yosh 590 kit, Konis and K81's things got alot more entertaining.

The guys at Cycle considered the Honda 550 a bike for expert riders. How times have changed.

Give me a good running Suzuki GT550 triple anyday:)

That was a highly entertaining read.

I've found a CB650 that I was planning on using to spiff up #4.... thinking of making a Cafe bike out of it.... with the barrels and cam out of the 650...

Hmmm

My oldest is very careful... so it's been tough to teach him while assuring him that a careful ride isn't likely to get in an accident....

( I'm a firm believer in the idea that it's not inevitable, that you have some control )

Thumb Your Article

Thanx for sharing that Keith ! .

I too have been doing this same thing for many years now , I wish I had your writing skills as the trips to Death Valley , beyond & back home again on my old Honda step through CM91 were similar...
