No doubt that these are ripe for customization, but one of the things I like about the sT is that it comes stock pretty much just how I'd like it. The tractor seat and luggage rack on the rear fender would have bee n the first two "options" I would have wanted, but they are the defaults. I'm not sure I'd add anything but some panniers/saddlebags. One of these really would be the perfect big brother to my Enfield!

Did you try gene at Holopaw?

They are hand built and usually have to be pre ordered.

Wow 4 pages of posts before I even saw them..

Yes I have a New Ural ST Solo. Rode it today for 130 miles in the fog from the Sacramento Valley back to the Coast. It's a great bike. Handles and performs just like my first BMW from 1974. I've got 3700 km on it now and haven't had a problem. It gets 45 mpg and will do 90 mph with throttle to spare. As to the short service interval Ural has doubled the interval for the new Solo's from a sidecar rig. (every 5,000 km vs 2500 km)

The below photo is before I added accessories of choice. I ordered it White with a Black engine and drive train. I added Jessie Bags, National Cycle Plexistar II windshield, GPS and a HD Mustang Solo seat.

There are lots more photos of my Solo in the Flicka link below my signature.

Um, Ernie, at the top of the page I linked to, there is a button to increase the size. 100% works for most people, but it goes up to 6400% for you, Magoo.

ST in white is nice.......

Ivan Rider's ST looks good in white. As soon as I can demo an ST in good weather I will. I think Ural has a winner with this one.

OK Bernie.
I'll let my butt tell me what it likes. Comparisons on paper don't really do much for me.

I'm not going to comment on rumors about what your butt likes.
But the chart is a handy comparison for dimensions etc.

The W800 seems like my ideal bike, but I doubt they'll import it here.
The Bonneville is too bloated for me.
The V7 looks nice, but I am not crazy about Italian FI, and Guzzi parts supplies.
The Enfield is Indian made, which is not the greatest. And it's only $500 less than the Ural.
The Russians were smart. They knew they couldn't make an alternator worth a damn, so the got a Desno. Their carbs sucked, so they used Keihins (sp?), brakes, they used Brembo, etc. And there are the real deal, not "licensed" copies like the Indians use.
