my gspd is a 91, bought it new,it is teal and black and the only one i ever saw up close until today, not many bmw's in my part of kentucky but while getting ready to have breakfast another one pulled up next to me.. teal and black and a 1991 gspd.. they were different, the gs above my head light is blue, his is teal, the stripes on the side of my tank are blue and his is teal.. the stripe on the little tool box on the tank are the same, both teal just like his..has anyone ever noticed the difference in the stripes on the tank on a 1991 teal and black gspd or do i have a bastard bike??

Talking shetland gspd

only crime in shetland is the smackheads in lerwick .

no rob , sunderland .
a french guy left it unatended ( bad idea in ne england ) some scumbag nicked it and left it on the beach . when recovered one of the barrels was full of silt ,it wouldn,t turn over , the engineer reconed it was seized and wrote it off . my mate (recovery driver) bought it , stripped an rebuilt it . he rode it for a couple of years then sold it to me .its still got french insurance docs on front guard .
i love it , on enduro 3s i can get the sidestand down .
see you at ukgser .

Nice looking alright. Doesn't appear to be HPN though as far as I can tell. Standard looking swingarm and frame from what I can see. Still, very nice.

I'm a noobie where airheads are concerned and I've never posted in this thread because I didn't figure I should call myself a 'committed airhead GS rider' without a few miles behind me. Well, I've just finished up my first year as an airhead G/S owner! 31,000 miles so far and I have to say I think I'm committed. I love this bike and I can't think of anything I'd rather have

here's my ride!

ain't she a beut!?

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved. Hell, some of the places I’ve been there weren’t even roads!

I suppose I can join too, though I have never even ridden an airhead before, I did just buy this:

It is currently in my dads barn in CT and I live in AK. Next summer I'll be flying back and riding it home. That'll be iron butt x5. Until then my F650 will have to keep me company.
