Gauloises,

Nice bike! Looks a lot like mine, except for the head pipes. What brand are they? I'd like to get some like that.

The exhaust is a Keihan stainless steel system,
though i think it's probably not that much different to yours
maybe it's the camera angle ,,

Gauloises - Thanks! Oh, yours are MUCH different than mine - mine are all black and tend to rust - not shiny and pretty like yours.

ozadvntr - Cool pics! Do you have plans for something to protect the headlight?

Yes, Bloody headlight lenses. I am up to number 3 in less than 1 year. I am now using clear lenses from old driving lights. I cannot get an original lense that is affordable.

I had a translucent skin on the lens in the pic you can see. I scored a rock that morning thrown up from a mining truck. The skin held the lens together until I returned home.

As to a headlight protector, I have messed about with a perspex cover but looks make it not my favourite.
Have you got any ideas? I really would like on similar to the 1985 Paris Dakar bike as riden by Gaston, wire mesh type.

Mick, I was wondering when you were going to show off that little beauty. How 'bout some pictures of the rest of your airheads? Barb

Hi Barb,

good to hear from you. I will post some more tomorrow of the rest and an updated pic of the special. I now have the WP USD front end fitted, it looks sweet. I had a 320mm disc fitted with a 4 pot caliper, the adapter plate for the caliper is a work of art.

Unfortunately, I sold the R75/5 last week, the guy who wanted it finally came through, I had kept it aside for 6 months for him.

I will post some pics of the GSPD classic and the nice little R80G/S PD I got hold of just after you last visited. Very original, needs a good detail and it will be right.

I also finished the 100RS and it looks a million dollars as well.

Too many bikes, so little time. You will need to come back over to go for another ride, this time for about a week.

P.S. I love the Aria XD, it is the best helmet I have worn.

Michael

cpatstone,

Are you using the single seat in the picture as before? I am after one if you've got a spare.
