Since I'm sitting out here about 6 hours from my motorcycle and no hope of riding it, having last ridden it more than three months ago, I went wandering down memory lane,

From a desert ride back in 2008,

My riding buddy Paul's bike in back of mine on a "road" my GPS picked.

It began as a paved residential street, that over the course of a mile or so degraded to what you see here. A mile or so further on, beyond a hill the sand got deeper. doesn't seem as terrifying now as it did then. We never did find our way to the BLM camping, but found an RV park that was nice and windy and cold.

Was somewhere between Kiev in Ukrain and Orel in Russia I think.. Lots of similar statues along the way..

Nice pic... How did you do this? Does the iPhone 5 have a panarama feature? or did you photo and stitch? It looks pretty good... I only have iPhone 4

Yes, the iPhone 5 has panoramic photo capability built in. However, I did have the 4 before and downloaded an app called "DMD" and was able to do panoramic shots on it. I will say the camera on the iPhone 5 was almost worth the upgrade alone.
