It's a '99. Definately a fixer upper. Two owners ago, it was rear-ended by a cage. The last owner began getting it back running and I guess lost interest in it. I picked it up and got it back road legal and finished for the most part. I've still got a few things to do before it's to my liking; brakes, high front fender, and paint.

Here's what it looked like after the cage-

Here, I rigged up a jig to hold the front wheel in line with the rear so I could straighten the bars (forks are straight, triples were just a little tweaked)-

You should start your own thread and post lots of pics from start to finish. I'm also thinking about doing a high front fender and am interested in your choice/method.

Congrats! Can you post a closer pic of your radiator protection and any info on it... I don't think I've seen that one before. Custom made?

Welcome to one of the best kept secrets in motorcycling.....the Triumph triple engine.
Only this weekend I was trying to explain to fellow participants on the Welsh National Road Rally, how good the Triumph triple is. They all think you're exaggerating.
Enjoy your new toy.

I couldn't agree more! I found a 1998 by accident while looking at the classifieds for a BMW. I fell in love with the bike immediately and it was in my garage within a week. What a sweet sound and fantastic power delivery! This one is a keeper, only 500 shipped to North America.
