Jeebus, just give it away Kirk...

I didn't have time for a Fox Hunt this morning after all. That was going to be my clue to find that Phipps mansion.

Edit, if you care .... You can see it takes about 5 minutes to get a pic loaded. That's with everything working. Lately tapatalk has me trying two times for success.

Should be easy to find. Scooter parking will put you right on the sidewalk next to it. It gets crowded around there though.

Kirk sent you a PM

need a lesson

Hi, I live in central Colorado and look at this thread on occasion just to see if I recognize any of the spots.

If you are not familiar with the pic, how do you find the spot? I tried plugging a couple of images in Google Image search with no joy.

Thanks for the education.
Jim

Ok.
For the Highlands Ranch Mansion I had no clue. Thought it was far away from me. Deano offered to school me so I knew it was close.
Googled highlands ranch mansion for rent and it came right up. Lucky but, HR is close and the handicap parking told me banquets happen here.
Alot of these are easy to find you just need the right words in your search.

The clock
"Clock tower" then add a city (Littleton)
And it's right there
Millennium Clock Tower.... Bingo

I've been lost plenty but reading while searching is half the game for me. Lots of Colorado to learn about and any excuse to ride :-)

Edit. I've never put an image into a search. No idea how to?
See I just learned something new. Cool more tag tricks.

I basically do the same as 60Pan. Key words, a city , colorado and search.

I've been here for about 10 months and still don't really know many landarks at all, and I know nobody that rides or does much exploring ( AD military, so all my friends just get shmammered in their freetime)... so I have to google it all! So I usually hit up a lot of the grabbed tags just to see more of the area and discover the sites.

First of all, this is all FRONT RANGE tagging. Basically East of the Continental Divide to KS border, north and south from WY to NM border.

If you are on here long enough and follow it, you will get a sense of who lives where and that most people tend to post in their own back yard. Tags have been clustered in the Denver, FOCO (Dom - Fort Collins) and CoSprgs area and South/West of CoSprgs depending on how much time Riderjohn has to place the next Tag.

Beyond that, what the others said. Lots of Google mapping and searches, street views and trying to enlarge the pictures to look for clues. Some are much easier than the others.

I THINK a STATEWIDE Tag may support itself, but who knows. You could always start a new thread for that and see where it goes, I for one would like to see other landmark/areas beyond the front range as I rarely have the opportunity to explore much west of the Divide.

New Tag. I did not see any fiddlers around. This place is not very busy on the weekends.
