New Tag

So hangin' around cowboys all my life, I know darn well that they take some pride in their ability to spin tales. But these cowboys in Colorado take story-tellin to new heights.

These fellas over at the Circle 8 ranch, for instance. They've gone from story-tellin' to just plain fibbin'.

All cowboys like to brag on their horses, but the guys at the Circle 8 claim their horses can actually fly. They've even taken their fibbin' one step further, and hung up these silly red balls on the power lines, tryin' to convince us that they need to mark the power lines so they can see 'em better when they're flyin' around the ranch working cattle. Sounds like a steamin' pile of to me!

(Warning: you'll need to ride a couple miles of graded dirt road to reach this tag. I ride it with street tires all the time. Of course, my ponies are more sure-footed than your'n.)

Hint: You'll want to be careful to find the right set of red balls if you want credit for a grab. These silly cowboys at the Circle 8 have hung those things on ALL the power lines. (Devious hint: Despite the fact that that sign is there along the road, plain as day, Google has never heard of this street. And Street View? g'luck with that!)

BTW, if any of you lot come to grab that tag, and you want to take a ride on that Chang Jiang I was on yesterday, buzz these digits when you are at the tag: (Wyoming) 76 Oh-479 Six.

Nice grab, John! Nicer still, of course, when you were still there to rub in your timely snipe, as Atokad and Charleeto arrived!

At least they got consolation prizes, riding the sidecar rig around the shop:

Who's the mystery guest on the Duc we were wondering.... only one I could think of was Deano. Nope, Deano sold the Duc to Cherleeto.

Ha! This is just the scene I found when I drove up. One happy rider who got the tag, and two who got sniped! Priceless!

It was fun watching them pull up just a little too late.I beat Atokad by less than 5 minutes and then Charleetho pulled up about 5 minutes after that! That sidecar rig was really cool.......scary,but cool.
