Ouch. Based on the pics and the vids it's a wonder the carnage wasn't greater.

Looks like one for the books though. Thanks for sharing.

I am guessing no one in your group has ever heard of "tread lightly".

I was thinking the same thing. Yes I was on that ride.

That was me on my old DT250, and that was a very fun group ride with flux and crew that day. The entire group stayed on public roads and legal trails the entire ride - that water crossing is part of a public "road". The OP and his riding buddies left the trail and did damage to the environment, definitely not cool. There is an enormous difference between responsible off road riding and just raising hell on two wheels and acting like a redneck. Riding irresponsibly off road, going off legal trails, doing destruction to the ecosystem, and then glorifying it publicly eventually will lead to the government taking away all of our off road riding privileges one day.

Maybe we can all go riding Sunday, and lighten up a little.

While I can appreciate your concerns, I don't appreciate your approach. We didn't go looking to bushwhack and ride off trail. We made a wrong turn and found ourselves in a deep ravine. Was only trying to glorify overcoming adversity, teamwork and keeping a good attitude when things get a little rough.

To be clear, the trail down the ravine clearly looked like an official trail when it started, As it became obvious that it was not, we were past the point of being able to turn around,

Edit - spoke to Soboy re: PM. Seems like a good guy. We are on the same page. Good talking with you Soboy.
