Laugh Two Primo Riders Come Visit for a Primo 100 Loop

The Southern Californian Desert got dumped on last week and the lasting effect is...wet sand. It doesn't get any better than this.

A 100 mile dualsport loop from the "Ranch Without Rice". Not much dual, lots of sport.
The Gatekeeper of the loop, Water Canyon, had a little water but the rocks had been rearranged beyond recognition. This was gonna be a good one.

The boys were jumping with joy.

As was I.

The better the group, fewer the photos due to the pace of the ride. But Sidewinder Canyon always slows everybody down enough to get a few shots.

Usually quite challenging, it had been made easier by all the sand that the rain had flushed in, covering up alot of the rocks and making the rest of them "smaller".

Headed back home through Water Canyon we were still searching for a "good" line.

Nowwhat benefited from his 38" inseam. While Rider914 benefited from his impeccable bike handling skills and line choice.

Having witnessed Rider914's successful line, Nowwhat wicks-up the mighty 570 Berg,

pivot turns to the good line,

and motors through the mess.

Sweet stuff fellas. Thanks for making The Primo 100, A truely PRIMO 100.

Damn Brent....your photo skills are almost as good as your riding ones....

my weak pics...

Scenery.....all day...perfect skies, perfect sand, perfect temp

The "Hill"...steeper and rockier than it appears....Matt making it look easy

Ricless said it is harder to stop halfway up then continue, to prove his point he demonstrated the theory

Then went back to his perfect form

Anyone can take the easy line....so Riceman takes the "other" one

Thanks a bunch Brent for the invite. 'Bout time I got out to your backyard for a ride.
Also thanks to Mike for hauling my bike and butt out to the 'ranch' and back.
Awesome riding in the damp desert. Very little dust, but that Berg sure do toss a lotta debris up in the air.
Like Brent said - good riders and maintained fast pace means fewer pics, but I got a few...

Before leaving the 'ranch', Riceless dances a little jig with his borrowed mistress for the day.

Nowwhat was so stoked to ride the wet dez that he had to stop for a soil sample only 1 mile off the pavement.

"I got more toys for christmas than you did"
"Nuh uh"

One of several quick-sandy creek crossings in Water Canyon.

Where once there was a road.

After a quick stop to top off tanks...

... it was quickly back to warp speed.

Playtime at the step-up jump...

Nowwhat

Riceless

Cottonwood(?) wash.

Riceless sent us up this hill for a history lesson.

Then back down to continue the loop.

Down in Sidewinder Canyon.

Nowwhat dove for another soil sample and was scambling to get back up before evidence was gathered.
With no time to spare, I snapped a pic before fully stopped and with the cam only halfway out. Gotcha!

Say "cheese" !

Here is a little video from one of the 'milder' sections of Sidewinder.

Out of the Sidewinder and up the Rattlesnake.

Had to go thru Water Canyon again on the way back. Ah well, whatayagonnadoo

PRIMO!

Tru-dat

I learned that the hard way halfway up a Pennsylvania mountain with several inmates on a severely eroded fire road I had no business being on with a ULY.

Nice work guys

Best wishes in the New Year
