TUSK Panniers

Hello Fellow ADV'rs

Most of you know us for our LED Light Kits - Great prices and Great customer service - We also offer many other products. The latest should be of particular interest to ADVR's

We recently started offering Tusk Panniers.

As always I have tested these out first hand and they are VERY nice.

Well designed and well made:

Details:

The Tusk Aluminum Pannier Boxes are designed and manufactured to handle the most extreme adventure motorcycling.
Loaded with features to offer an unbeatable value!
Made from durable yet lightweight aluminum with a tough black powder-coated finish.
Not only do they look great, but they prevent the items you store from getting the black residue produced when rubbed against unfinished aluminum.
Unique design that eliminates seams on the back two vertical edges (weak spots on other panniers), and all existing welded seams are reinforced with internal stitch welds.
For security and convenience, The boxes come complete with 4 (2 on each box) matched locks and keys already assembled on the latches!
A rubber gasket at the top of the box ensures the lid is tight and waterproof. Each lid comes complete with 4 bolt-on footman loops to secure additional items. Each box measures 15 ½" tall, 9 ¼" deep, and 18" wide and are sold in pairs. Tusk motorcycle panniers can be mounted to most pannier racks (mounting hardware not included – mounting hardware is specific to the pannier rack). They are highly recommended with the Tusk Pannier Racks.
Durable aluminum panniers that offer an unbeatable value for adventure motorcycling.
Powder-coated finish looks great and protects items from unfinished aluminum "blacking".
Seamless rear vertical edge design and reinforced welding ensures strength.
Complete with 4 (2 on each box) matched locks and keys assembled on the latches.
Aluminum lid is completely waterproof and features 4 bolt-on footman loops to secure additional items.
Each box measures 15 ½" tall, 9 ¼ deep, and 18" wide.
Volume per box is 37.25 Liters. A pair of boxes gives you 74.5 Liters of storage.
Aluminum is .085" thick and each pannier weighs a little over 11 lbs.
Designed to be mounted on most brands of pannier racks (mounting hardware not included), but highly recommended with the Tusk Pannier Racks.
SOLD IN PAIRS

The best part is the price $239 a pair shipped anywhere in the CONUS.

We are currently "sold out" and but taking pre-orders and expect to start shipping again on July 7.

We have a limited supply and these are VERY popular so if you want a pair its best to do a "pre-order".

Tusk Panniers - $239

Thanks,
-Brian

You might want to consider using a light colored powder coat on the inside. Would sure make finding things easier.

Just recently placed an order from Rocky Mountain ATV. I so hope they will arrive this time. They have been on back order for a long time. Great product, anxiously awaiting.

Currently the only racks available are for KLR's. No word on any others in the near future.

The cases will work with most aftermarket and many OEM racks however. I have a pair installed using a Givi rack. If you dont plan or need to use a quick release type mount, small U-bolts work well with round tube racks.

We should be adding the KLR racks to the site this week.

thanks,
-Brian

I have the Givi PLR532 quick detachable rack on my Vstrom. What's required to get these panniers to work with the current rack I have?

Mastery,

There is a thread in the equipment forum, Tusk Panniers where I think a guy has a great post on mounting the Tusk's.

I was contacted by the OP, I hope he reply's that he will mail boxes and a rack on July 7th. If so, I will cancel my order with RMATV.

Ok, so what I did was use "hockey pucks" for the bottom mounts to give support and to allow easy removal if needed. Was going to make it where I could easily detach but chose to do it the way I did since I always have the bags on anyways. Only 2 nuts to take off to remove each. I can give more detailed pics/info if anyone wants.
I have NO experience with panniers (came from sport bikes before the vstrom) but the Tusk's seem fine by my standards for the $249 I paid. The top locks on each end and you get 4 keys. 1 key fits all locks. The sticker on the side comes off if you are not into stickers.
