More quick photoshoppery. I think I kind of like this... I'm a big fan of the triumph zard high pipes, and would like to come up with something similar. The issue of bringing the header from the far cylinder to the near side gracefully is an interesting challenge, and I can't decide if it's one that's worth tackling.

I ended up using the same tires on my bmw they where quite scary at first but I guess broke in? I have no worries on them now except the tread life is awful. Three weeks and my back needs replacing it has all most no tread left... about 1,800 miles.

Progress is near! Got a slew of parts in and the cylinders back from the machine shop, so hopefully the top end will be back together in the next week or so.

Thanks! Mostly just ripping around town and backroads on this bike. Not really setting it up for any serious miles.

Ahem... Nothing to see here. Move along...

I'm optimistic about making some progress soon. I'll be back with a report if & when it actually happens.

Some progress to report. A simple pushrod seal replacement grew legs and took on a life of its own. "While I'm in here I may as well...". I got the top end buttoned up over the holidays with new rings, a fresh hone on the jugs, stainless pushrod tubes (the collars on the originals slid up and down the tube at will), new seals and gaskets all around, etc. I still need to pull the clutch and do the rear main, but I'll save that for another day.

The least fun I've had yet:

Now with 100% less purple:

Somehow purple bikes have a way of finding me, though...

Thanks, it's growing on me. It's just wedged up there between the gaiters at the moment, I'm still in the duct tape and bailing wire mockup phase.
