Not really that good of a deal. Top end is over $1000, for a bike that in nice shape might be worth $2000 ish.

This might be against the rules, it's not mine but it's such a screaming deal that I can't take advantage of that I'd like to share it. Hopefully it's not a bunch of CL crap, but there is a real phone number at least.

1992 TDM850 for $1000. It's not that far away from me if someone wanted it I could go look at it(repaying a debt to the forum). I'd be willing to look it over, test ride it, and if some one needed store it until you can pick it up.

Screaming screaming deal....damn I wish I had a 1k.....

That'd be the one. I had the link posted, but I posted in the wrong place...was on my way out the door and didn't look for this thread. I text t he owner, he says it needs the seat recovered, some clips for the body work, and the battery is most likely going south. He said it'll only hold a charge for about 24 hours, but the bike runs and rides fine. Still a really good deal in my mind.

If I bought it, I'd send the seat to be spencerized and then have a custom cover done locally, buy the couple of clips, new battery and call it good. He says chain and sprockets, and tires are still good as well.

I've actually got a co-worker who needs some help with some house projects that offered to float me a loan if I'd help him with his diy projects. I hate to get into something like that, but I'd be willing to help him for nothing and $1000 isn't "alot" of money just more than I have to cut loose around christmas time(and after tires, helmet, chain/sprockets, soft tail bag etc for the the triumph I just bought lol).

If it's still there I plan to go look at it this weekend. If someone else wants it, shoot me a PM and we'll work something out.
