Anyone looking for a XR250L? I know of a '91 in Naperville with 4600 miles. Unfortunately, it's leaking oil from the head and base gaskets. And, she's asking $1800....

The CL posting has expired but I have contact info.

A bit overpriced.

The forks look different than they should, and it has your typical english flunky script. But asking $1650

I'm thinking that if enough people walk away after finding out the motor is leaking they'll either reduce the price or get it fixed. The real issue is that 'Dad' bought the XR for his daughter who is quite petite. Not only is she on tippy-toes when seated but she admits to not being able to kick start the bike (and she's not really interested in learning). If you had a Ninjette/Rebel type substance that's worth about $1K, she would probably trade (as long as you don't mind fixing the leaks). She's looking for e-start and a low seat height.

Hey, it's usually a toss up with CL, and anything is better than stock with this bike.

Huh, I personally have no interest in riding something like that, but I'd be interested in learning about it. Built an electric assist long tail cargo fat bike once:

Neat deal on an uncommon bike.

Billy Joel loves it

"This bike was built by hand by a guy with a band saw, drill press, acetylene torch and a set of sheet metal mallets made from a tree limb."

I must admit the Virago never did a thing to excite me but that really is cool!
