Cry RIP Nichole Barnes

http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/the...&pid=147495521

Some of you may know Nichole from the NY/NJ/PA Enduros and Dual Sports. Her father and brother also have raced Hare Scambles and Enduros for many years in CNY. I am still trying to come to grips with this, it was way too early for her. Although I only knew her a short time, If I had to describe her with one adjective it would be intense. Maybe people can share some good memories and or photos here.

I only met and rode with her once, but it was a good day. Is there somebody to take care of her dogs?

I have some video of that day that she was bugging me to get uploaded since then ... I guess better late than never.

wow what a freaking bummer.

Oh my God. Does anyone know what happened to her? I had the pleasure of meeting, and riding with her at the 2009 Hammer run, and then bumped into her again this year up at Hancock. She was very entertaining to talk to, and she will be missed.
My condolences go out to her family.

Oh no!

OH NO!

This IS the Nicole that came from Illinois, that seemed to be at all the eastern D/S's? The pic sure looks like her. It's hard to believe she could be gone. This girl was so full of life........................and quite the character.
What the hell happened, I wonder?

I always looked forward to seeing her at the events, always good for a kiss hello and a good laugh. And she certainly loved her dogs.

Man, oh man, you never know.

SUCKS!

That's her....

Yep, that's the same Nichole that you are thinking of. The above picture that sallydog posted was taken on Sunday morning, at this years Hancock d/s ride. When I got back from breakfast, she had those streamers attached to my handlebars. She said that since I helped another rider get her bike out of the swamp during the 2009 Hammer run, and because I checked out and bled her front brake that morning, I was to be her chase rider for the day. I went along with it, and we had a good laugh, but I did remove the streamers when she wasn't lookinig. I think she ended up riding with sallydog that day. She was a character!

This is a shock. She had a great attitude, loved to ride and rode well to boot. We had her in our group about a year ago on a DS and she was a hoot, tassels and all. RIP.

Nichole loved to paint.
She air brushed many beautiful helmets.
This is hers from a email she sent me a couple of weeks ago.

Some of her other work.

I hope you find peace.
I'll miss you Nichole.

Unforgettable

Sallydog introduced us at Hancock. I crawled out of my tent at 7:00 a.m. and there she was bouncing around and talking a mile a minute about lactic acid and arm pump etc.. Her energy and enthusiasm made me feel like I just drank 10 cups of coffee! I jokingly said to her.. woman you need to calm down and breathe! To which she responded by doing some high speed super flexible yoga moves. A real goofy, positive, and unforgettable character. She was also very generous with her mothers delicious home made brownies and everything else she had to offer. I'm sure she'll be missed by her friends and family.

I can't say I knew Nichole well, but I do remember her from the Hammer Run last year and Hancock this year. There was something about a woman who would drive nearly a thousand miles to ride a dual sport ride.

RIP Nichole. You will be missed.

I also spoke with her at the hammer run, what a nice person. Why do all the good people go so young? RIP Nicole, you'll be missed....
