The group split with half returning to the truck stop via dirt and Painted Rock Dam and the other half taking the road past Gillespie Dam.

Bridge and Dam

On the bridge.

On the dam.

After the dam our group split once again with half returning to their trailers at the truck stop and BIG-E, kbblue, and I riding back to Phoenix. Fun times. I'm glad we did the Sundad/Oatman Massacre loop and Gillespie Dam.

right on!!

As always, awesome report! I always get my "Valley of the Sun" fixes reading your stuff bro. Say, Nightstalker, in some of your shots it looks as though you are using a fish-eye lens or something or are you just connecting via some panoramic software? Thanks again

My thoughts exactly. I'm just sitting here researching areas I have yet to ride and plotting my next visit home.

The panoram feature is built into my Sony HX5v camera. Just point and shoot!

Why's everyone so bundled for a low-desert ride anyhow?

Nice job as always guys.

I loaned my GPS to CrashDBad for the dirt return to the trucks (I had the tracklog loaded). They made it to the truckstop just before dusk.

Map software used

Nice ride report. Thank you very much for posting it.

What mapping software are you using? I like the elevation functionality. The flight planning software that I used to use had the elevation capability in it (important for flying). I do some bike trip planning using Google, Mapquest, etc. but they are not really flexible enough.

Thanks again for the report. I certainly enjoyed it.
