I had a beautiful 08 GS that I bought new. It was my first R-bike.

ABS, EFI, the ring thing, the final drive thing, the clutch seal thing and the fuel strip (only had to push once).

As it got older I got to where I didn't trust it. And I watched the Hitler video that compared the engine to a Briggs and Stratton. I couldn't get that out of my head. It is a clunky engine.

So I traded it and went back to Mother Honda. (5)

And then I found KTM. It's an 04, pretty simple, reliable except it has me for a mechanic. 990 engine swap

But it's simple, cheap, I understand it, mostly, and I can fix it.

Anymore progress on removing the immobilizer feature on the 2010 990r? Anyone figured out a way to reflash the ecu to kill that "feature"?
