Yes this is now the Thread for BYOB 2011

Tee Shirt thread is here:
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=683706

Set aside June 10-11-12 for this years "Bring Your Own Bullshit" ADV Rally.

It's casual, any damn bike that runs will do,

You will need to bring your own stories and entertain each other.

FARM RULZ will apply! KMAC YOYO.

Marlinton WVa is the location chosen.

It is in the heart of some of the best riding that West Virginia has to offer.

http://www.marlintonmotorinn.com/

Rooms are reasonable, and camping will be available during this weekend only.

Singles $53.95 + tax
Dble $63.95 + tax

Camping $20.00 per night per tent.

Room reservations, are still available. as far as camping... call to reserve a tent site.

For campers there will not be any shower facilities, but I will provide two porta potties.

I am in need of

someone to cat herd the dinner for Sat. night. (handled) Thank You Party Boss

and someone to fix us up with tee shirts/stickers, (being worked on)

Anyone who has the urge to lead a ride or two please don't be bashful just say so.

So please volunteer to help at anytime.

Beuller was seeking a Tyrant, I fit the request.
Let the fur fly

Thumb

I've stayed there happily on three occasions. Sport-touring.net has had events there a couple times. There is a small gas and beer store next door and the rooms were clean.

Don't recognize him...

But I do recognize the 80,000 lb triaxle coal truck

His brakes haven't worked (well) since 1984.

Marlinton - History

South from Marlinton on Rt 219 to Lewisburg is worth the ride.
In June 2010 I acquired a lot of respect for the local riders heading north.

Aerial of Motel Location

================================================== ==

I have uploaded a .gdb file with 13 routes and 123 waypoints of West Virginia. Much of it southwest of Marlinton.
It opens in MapSource (Garmin).

WV-CombinedRoutesAndWaypoints.gdb

Click on All Categories in the Waypoints Tab.

In the Routes Tab:
Right click a highlighted route and select display on map.

Someone, please step up for calling in reservations for...

Sunday Brunch at the Hutte in Helvetia.

I won't leave WVa without a departure brunch at the Hutte

If I owned a cell phone I would step up myself.
