Hi Guys, Got home around 5:00 today after staying two nights at Avila Hot Springs, between Pismo and SLO. Yesterday, we rode through some amazing twisties in the area. Beatiful vistas and backroads with lots of happy California cows.

Today, I rode through Big Sur and then cut through Monterey to the 101 and then heavy traffic on the usual commute home.

Yes, I have pics of it all. Thanks, everyone, for waiting. I hope you did not have to wait too long. I had some bike trouble in the morning with the bike, fixed it and then hauled ass to get there. Thanks to Joel for suggesting this ride. Thanks to Jim for suggesting the campsite. Thanks to Kevin for the wine, coffee, tour and the use of your grill. He's an avid biker who was staying at the hot springs. Thanks to Sopascat for hanging out with me. I have a fantastic time! I have always wanted to take my Strom through there and now I have.

I'll get to work on the pics this week and start posting soon.

Hope everyone made it back safe and YES you can see me again next year on this ride.

regrouped at the T and waited for the last rider

i wonder what this stream looked like during the last storm

gettting in the town of pozo

lots of "no can do"

here's the alternative

across the saloon

interesting stool

we knew service will be slow...so just chips and beer

last meal we had was 6 hours ago

pozo butterflies

lior and hababam sharing their favorite drink across from the saloon

we only hanged out there for 30 minutes and now ready to leave

we're happy to stop at the saloon, just wishing the food service will be better next time

instead of taking the pavement to the 58, we opted to do more dirt; it took us a little farther but we had an adventure

something happened to ben and we have rubber neckers....

just another drill exercise; lior was quick in giving a hand

that was some deep sand

hababam's 990 has autopilot

the true adventure began after sunset... hababam said it, 10 riders and 9 gps and we got lost.....

dunerat says "we don't need a stinkin full moon to do a night ride"

stickfigure giving the l.a. crew the salute for sucking him along...

rruugger thought that was the best part of the ride, especially when we found someone locked the gate on our way out.....

it all ben's fault, we thought we were all in stealth mode, but that dang helmet gave our location away.....

me made it to santa maria in one piece with hair and all...

sat night dinner wasn't at jocko's. the place was packed and at least 1 hour wait to get seated...and getting served was another wait.

thanks to marie and her iphone; we found another place. we were not dissapointed.

for the first time, this restaurant was invaded by dual sport bikes

noel showing his meat; i could see it was still pulsating......

awesome

rruugger's meat was big and a fresh kill.....

my portion was a descent size

you gotta be kidding tom...

for sure, that dinner put a smile on our faces....
