DS roads in Upstate and WNC

Actually I don't have a dualsport, just a supermoto and harescramble bike (maybe I should morf them together) but I want to start cataloging some good places to take my restored '63 Willys I'm finishing up. I've riden the SM with some guys up around Hurrican Creek and I've been to the Buzzards Roost but I'd like to know more. Also I'm vaguely familiar with the areas between SC Hwys 178 and 130 known as Bad Creek but only hiked through there years ago on the Foothills Trail. So if you can show a local vintage Jeep driving non-dualsporter some love and post a few of your not too secret spots, it'd be greatly appreciated. And no, I don't wanna join any jeep clubs cuz I'm too much of a dirtbiker at heart...and they just don't understand.

I like the area around Tellico Plains, TN and Robbinsville, NC. Lots of forest roads that would be great for your jeep. Go to the Tail of the Dragon website and look at the gravel road entries.

here is an old Ride Report I did of the area a while back if you are interested

Hey Mark!

Ready to sell the Husky yet? lol

Tellico plains may be a haul for you but me and 2 friends went there and camped in Oct riding dual sport. HUGE amount of dirt roads. We did not scrape the surface in 2 days....

There is also quite a few dirt roads above Brown mountain.

Thanks YankeeDog and what up Daniel, long time buddie! No I can't seem to part with the Husky even tho it bit me last summer. We've made up since then and I see a fun next season ahead. You gotta check out this jeep, it was mine as a kid and my dad stored it in a barn the last 30yrs. I've been restoring it since September and shes just about road-worthy. Hope all's good wit ya bro and be in touch.

Okay second attempt here. Forget the semi-secret spots (I know it's verboten to divulge those publicly) and how about just some cool gravel roads,
like the kind you find on a map but you guys prefer certain ones for their remoteness or character.
