As posted above, everyone has their opinions. While I am not normally a fan of lowering pegs, I really like the fastway pegs in the lowered position. It opens up the seating position nicely if you are tall.

Yep, me too. I'm using a low seat and the pegs made all the difference.

I too am using Rok Stompa's extended peg in the lower position. I looked at CJ's which are nice, my brother went with them and has no complaints, but I chose the refinement of the one piece Rok Stompas. You can view them at Adventurer's Workshop!!! In any case, you really do want some sort of extended peg!!!

My two bits!

Inmate Hillslamer (I think that's spelled right) was making extended stock pegs, about 1 1/2" longer. I'm happy with mine, might want to see if he still does it.

Warp9 pegs look great, I bought a pair CJ Designs a year and a half ago, love them, medium size version works well, plenty of leverage...I wear size 11(US) boots.

The stock pegs seem like a token effort once you stand on any of the after market pegs...you will be psyched with the upgrade regardless of brand.

I use Pivot Pegs and love them, but I'll probably add a set of CJ's extenders sometime soon to build the ultimate peg.

So looking at the site the pegs which fit the KTM 525 would be the correct ones to get for the 950/990?

I'm using pivot pegs with a set of CJ's medium extenders. I've used Rocstompas before and they are very solid but the pivots allow for easier balance on the bike.

Yup that's correct, all the KTM's from the 105's to the 990 use the same footpeg. I didn't realize our website didn't have the 990 listed so ill get it changed soon.

Fastway Lowboys

I've been running Fastway pegs on my EXCs for years. As I am 6'3", size 13 boot, the ability to swap the bolt shaft barrel to lower and shift to the rear the peg position opens up the cockpit, eases the transition from sitting to standing, and allows my knees to touch the bike. They as well can be run at the normal height / location by just switching the barrel over.
They are oversized with replaceable "teeth", their grip and control offered is amazing, and I don't as much enjoy a ride without them.
Currently I am in the market for a 950/990 and they will certainly be one of the first upgrades I make. In fact I am hoping a pair from an EXC will fit... anyone know if they would?

Hey Kamuk, yes your EXC pegs will fit your 990.

all of the ktm's from the 65 to the 990 are the same peg from the factory.
