Today's Mid-Atlantic Craigslist Find

Some of the other Regional Forums have a "Craigslist Find" thread. So Let's start our own (since I seem to peruse it daily). The NoVA chatter thread was starting to be a good repository, but this wy we can broaden the scope. How about we keep it limited to the Mid Atlantic (give or take).

My contribution:

No pic, but it seems like a sweet deal

Great idea! Plus I like the link. I actually E-mailed whomever owns the bike.
I'll report back with what I find out.

Unfortunately I don't have anything add to the thread...yet.

Post a pic if you get one. I'm curious what shape it is in. With such low mileage, I have to think it looks nice. But it makes you wonder bout a bike that has averaged barely 100 miles a year.

That beemer owner must live next door to the local Starbucks.

I would assume it looks something like this one I found on the net...

Here's another picture I found...

I haven't heard back yet. Usually when you don't hear back it's sold but you never really know...

That guy with the GS never did return my E-mail.

This guy below is full of himself!

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...151511904.html

I called to inquire about the "super motard street tires" and mileage. It's just the tires, no rims. I didn't know a super motard set up used a 21" tire.
He has 12,000 miles on the bike and I think he said 1,500 on a totally rebuilt engine. WTH did he do the the poor thing? I like the fact that it is so much better than the newer ones. I wonder if he sell used cars...

Maybe you could offer him your 2004 plus some cash for his 1998 "bike of all bikes. This is the baddest dual sport on the market." 1998 must have been a special year for the XRL since I see ones that are nearly 10 years newer for about that price.

I wonder how he stretched those 17" tires over the 21" front?

Just an FYI you may or may not know about. I listed a truck camper on CL the other day...

If you post and leave an anonymous E-mail address you will get a bunch of excrement in your IN box.
The guy with the XR in the previous post had one thing right...

IM GETTING ALOT OF EMAILS ASKING IF ITS STILL AVAIALBLE. AS I STATED IF THIS ADD IS UP IT IS. I WILL NOT RESPOND TO ANY ADDS ASKING IF IT IS THAT DO NOT HAVE A PHONE NUMBER. IF YOU HAVE TO ASK TEXT ME AND ASK. TO MANY EMAIL SCAMS FOR ME TO REPLY TO THEM WITHOUT SAFE VERIFICATION.
On guy with a real(?) name and a Hotmail account asked if I still had it. I replied "yes". He sent me some video asking me to watch it to make sure my camper is what he wanted. I thought it was rather strange because I have a link to 50+ pictures I took of it but clicked on the video anyway.
It took me to another page with the video but wouldn't play it. It told me I needed to download something to view it. I don't think so!
Here are some of the others I have received since yesterday

Quote:
Earlier this week I unearthed obamas is allowing out there dough.
The big grounds for this is they are attempting to frantically fix the country.
You have to input "gov wemr julia" in the google to learn about how to snag it for your family.
Cheers, meng ling

My family was having a challenging time due to the sluggish economy until
It was assured the gov is handing down green notes to Americans.
I did have little idea they were undertaking this so I checked out this and found out it was true.
Just simply type out "gov wehp" into google so you can understand more
info on it so you too can help out your folks just like I did for mine.
Cheers, Eric Haake

My very own family was having a demanding time due to the slow-moving economy until
It was shown the gov is handing down green notes to Residents.
I did have no idea they were carrying out this so I examined this and found out it was true.
Specifically type out "gov wehp" into google so you can browse more
info on it so you too can help out your loved ones just like I did for mine.
Sincerly, Patrina Johnson

So much for a good thing.

This is more for comedy relief. This guy has posted this bike numerous times over the past several months. He doesn't change the ad either (it must fall over in his garage daily). After seeing the attached photo, how could you NOT want to buy this well maintained bike?

Wow, i've been studying 12hours straight and you guys just put a huge smile on my face! That was a much needed chuckle. "New(ish) tires" wonder why the "ish"? I've had my bikes fall over in lots of place, some pretty odd, some pretty predictable, but in my garage? That's quite possibly the only place mine hasn't fallen over.

I decided to search CL and find some of my own. The title of this would have to be "Which is more over priced?"

or

and this one wins the IQ award
