Made it to NC!

blue ridge parkway!

road food!

obligatory tail of the dragon picture...

beautiful scenery on the state line

Great pics! I'm going there in May.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you stay in the Deal's Gap area? Any recommendations?

there's more than just killboy that takes photos on the dragon. there's us129photos.com, and zeefoto.com.

You can guarantee somebody will be up there. Killboy, Zee Foto, Moonshiner Foto, US129 Photos, more than just Killboy up there this past summer.

Phillips Motel in Robbinsville, NC is nice and rates are reasonable. Fontana Villages Resort is on SR28 just south of Deals Gap, little more upscale, nice place, rates still reasonable. This past summer we stayed there 2 nights while doing some riding in the area. There is also the Motorcycle Resort at Deals Gap. In and around Robbinsville there are several campgrounds and lodges gear to bikers.

January -- time to scheme up more rides

The are so many great roads and sights along the Appalachians from the Suches GA area to PA. I don't think I'll ever get 'em all ridden, but I keep trying.
