2012 Holiday Fun Through Europe

Hi Folks - Sue and I will be setting off from Newcastle in NE UK on Tuesday for our tour down through Holland, Belgium, France and Spain.

We have allocated 12 days for it this time (9 last time) and most will be off motorway and on smaller roads.

First section is a bit of a blast from the Amsterdam ferry terminal down to Sedan in France - relented and plotted a lot of motorway for this section just so we can get out of the planned rain and onto some good roads

Here is the entire route - we'll be takeing pics along the way and upfdate this post during May.

The first section looks like this in Autoroute

Second section;

and the final section all the way down through Spain;

The Millau Bridge and Rennes le Châteaux are on the itinerary in addition to lots more!

It's gona be a good one - about 1900 miles on the outward leg - but I'll likely leave Arty (my RT) down in Spain whilst I travel back to UK for business and go pick him up again in June - for yet another great ride - keep you posted.

Gorges de GALAMUS

Hi DOMINATIO,

I don't know what is your plan,
BUT, to get to RENNES le CHATEAU, you had to go through COUIZA. And when coming back to this village, take East to RENNES les Bains (D 613 and D14 ) and to Saint PAUL de FENOUILLET. Just before this village, you will go through "Gorges de GALAMUS" which are so narrow that there is traffic light in summer.

Have a nice trip. And don't forget, Continental Europe don't drive on the wrong side of the road ! (Hi, hi, hi !)

You are so wrong Bud - all you strangers ride on the wrong side or the road - and best of luck with those hiccups

But thanks for the heads up on the roads - I will enjoy.
