You have a NICE XS! Keep it original. Mine just begged for customizing.

NX is torn down in prep for May's adventure. I worked on it today until the clogged drain insident. All I'm riding today is a snake.

Thanks, It took a friend and I (different skill sets) eight months from start to finish.

The chain guard was as difficult as the wiring.

How much extra wheelbase did you end up with?,
would make it very stable under certain conditions, be great on dirt roads.

That has to be one of the nicest hardtails I have seen. Lines of the frame are perfect.

Are those Triumph mufflers?

+5" on wheel base
-2" on ground clearance

There be bikes with supensions for gravel roads.


Yes. Triumph mufflers just looked good to us as did the H.D. pieces.

Mikes sent a Tee Shirt with a green early XS on the front as an addition to an order I placed 3-4 years ago. Trouble is mike didn't know how much beer gut I had retained since buying the 77D back in 82.

So the shirt doesn't fit and I've never worn it.

Ya better frame it for the workshop I'd say,
