I was wondering about a centre stand just yesterday and if ELF gave you something, however I C the BOX is really your lif and a centre stand.

I hope to meet some of you at Dakar next year, we can all share in the dust sweat and tears and then I can teach you the definition of a "veltie".....

Jep! Richard swapped his engine and he mentioned that he was happy to see there were no bolts left around him on the ground

He's about as technical is me, ie not much more then an oil change!

He was happy to meet a farmer in the first stages of the Dakar that sorted out his rear rim after a rock knocked his rear caliper of the bike and crushed a wheel bearing in the process too. Richard was about to give up when this farmer had a look and remove the busted bearing, swapped some around in the rim and put it all back together so Richard could finish the stage. Had this happened in Africa....

Well guys I get my WR tom. She is not new has 1080km on, so just run in. However for traing and testing it will be great. I will use the bike as a base for my rally bike and then hopefully get a new motor for Dakar and rebuild the original for week 2, however I am scared of metal fatique.

I advertised my pimped HP2 and it has been claimed in under 30min

I hoped it would take a while so that I could ride her one last time. This is my first time in 10 years I cried, I love this bike so much.

However this money can buy me a JVO kit and Nav gear and proper rally wheels and 2 rolls of bogg.

Still sad like selling a piece of me.

Mate, trust me, you won't regret having switched to a WR. These are bulletproof bikes if looked after well!!! Oil changes can be done every 2000km or so, valve adjustment before the event (don't bother during the race).
Make sure you're good on oil and a clean air filter and you're good to go!

My dad is also a malle motos guy from the early days (3x Dakars all MM during the 90's), see here http://www.rallye-tenere.net/Schattat_TT.htm.
He used to purely ride the TT600 from Yamaha, but decided to go for something new in 2006. Like almost everybody I know, he too was very sceptical about the reliability and the longevity of the mini 450, but ask him today and he woulnd't trade it for anything else. OK only maybe for a newer alloy framed one 15000km of rallyes on the 1st and only motor and still running strong, 1 valve adjustment, stock piston, cams, etc.

I gym 3 times a week and then 1 long run. I did my first 10km road race the lastweek. I am down 12kg, however I need TITS urgently. Getting my WR tom. And then MX on the weekend. For me this is the fastest way of getting fit on a bike.

I had a YZ 450 with a WR gearbox fitted, so I have a IMS tank Scotts dampner and other extras I can fit on the bike.

I hope mine will treat me this well. I have to adapt my riding style to keep the bike reliable.

Ah, big step ! Thats a great bike.

I'm following this with intrest as I'd like to do the same thing. I've been staring at my 2 road race bikes for the last couple of weeks and I'm struggling to sell one in particular. I think you've just inspired me.

Thankyou.

Didn't dare post a pic when the thought hit me. I'm too old, fat, and slow!
