Lake Wateree Fun Ride
This was a spur of the moment ride instigated by boybrushedplad and PeeDeeRider.
We started out at Cedar Creek Store - a bike friendly joint with an owner that provided free pizza and coffee. After a few miles of pavement we hit the dirt. ![]() And took care of business... ![]() The road quickly turned into red clay. For those that don't know red clay is just axle grease with a different color... To protect the pride of the fallen no names will be released. ![]() After a few miles a quick trail fix for a broken starter switch. ![]() And we were back on the road.. We took a scenic detour and found some whoop de whoops but it was over to soon. ![]() We decided that it was getting late and it would be best if we headed towards the main road before dark. Wet red clay and night time are not a good mix. We made a final check of out bikes and went our seperate directions. ![]() I want to thank PeeDeeRider, JALnSC, and boybrushedplad for riding with me. It was a nice outing and I look forward to doing it again. Hopefully they have some other pics to add..

Home safe and cold
Has a really good time today getting the XR covered in clay.
![]() if you ride in mud you get muddy, right. What do out get if you ride in clay? Those street bike tires are actually d606 with 1/2 inch tread. After going through this we came upon this sign facing the other way, we had to pass it to see the road was closed. ![]() yes it was orange wheel bearing grease. ![]() a closing photo of four tired bikes. One with almost no gas. I had to go to reserve on the way to Camden. Home safe and sound used alot of gas and very little oil, good day.
