I'm going to get one of these for sure! I used to have an XL600 with a lot of XR600 parts on it. It got stolen. So I'm an RFVC junkie, or a recovering one at least. Now I ride a German Yamaha XT600.

What I'll have to do is order the kit without the plate that has the stator cover mounting holes and make my own. I'll get a spare XT600 stator cover and use a transfer punch onto an appropriately thick sheet of aluminum and shape it from there to mount the cooler where it needs to go on my bike. It won't be as pretty as this ready made one, but then again you don't make one for every bike while everyone who sees this is drooling and wanting one for their make/ model. I'm sure it's close enough that I can adapt it. It's only a matter of stator cover spacing.

Cooler with Big Fin Head

Has anyone put the cooler on along with an XRs Only big fin head? Pictures? Or is that overkill?

Yep. Not sure if it's actually an XR's Only kit, but has big fins. I thought I posted a pic in this thread already.

Are these still available ?? The thread has been quiet for a while.

I've sent you an email Mark.

I'm looking to get one for a long trans-siberia trip.

Cheers, Ted

I've been meaning to drop by with my DR350 and see if it is a possibility. But, I've been too busy to set anything up just yet. I'll see if I can schedule something with Mark (hopefully soon).

Regards,

Gregory Bender

Thanks Gregory. I dropped the ball on this too.

Thanks Justin

Here is a very nice quote that I received today in my email:

"I just wanted to let you know I received the package today, and I wanted to compliment you on the good job you did providing protection to the items during shipping. I was very pleased and surprised to see the instructions with a plastic cover, and very well detailed instructions. I wanted to email you prior to ordering asking for an email copy of the instructions because I was questioning how the install would go. After reading through the directions briefly I feel very confident the install will go perfectly thanks to the great illustrations and recommendations."

WOW! Thanks for the kind words about my work Justin!

Stay "cool",
Mark

Hi Wadester,

I met with Mark this morning for a quick look-see. I'll be bringing over some additional parts for him to work with from my stash of Suzuki DR350 spares. Mark seems to think he can make this work :> :> :> (thanks, Mark!)

Gregory Bender
