More dual sport than the CBR. Let's take this to the "Strom VS. Campo" thread.

Any word from Alex since he headed to Mexico?

You're probably right. I'm not going to drain the gas out of the snowblower quite yet. We'll probably have at least one more shot.

But -- I was out in the yard yesterday picking up debris from the winter (40 degrees and sunny) and heard some Canadian Geese moving north. Way up in the sky, moving north on a south wind, couldn't really see them in the light clouds but what a wonderful sound to hear.

Recieved confirmation today that my holidays for the summer are approved That means The_Filly & I will be heading to Darby for West Fest We have a site reserved in the campsite across the road Unfortunately that means the bike will be loaded in the back of the truck. Think I'll be looking for something easier to load into the back of the F150. The F650 Twin is at the top of my list

With that L&L coordinates that puts you somewhere in south Calgary. Too bad your caging it down as I hoping to make it myself and will ride down hopefully. Wanted to go bad last year but responsibilities would not allow it. I am trying to be less responsible this year and head on down with bike and fly rod for a week or so. From all I have read it sounds like too good a time and dual-sporting area to miss.

Yes we live just South of Calgary (the L&L coordinates are from Secret Santa) We rode the bike last yr and 800kms in a single day made for a long day when 2 up. Figuring in what we spent on hotels/motels we figured it was cheaper to haul our trailer down and throw the bike in the back of the truck & arrive in a frame of mind to do more riding while in Montana. I am a n00b on dirt surfaces and will NOT take my lady on the bike if I am going to do gravel. She likes the pavement and for that matter so do I.

Excellent. It will be nice to see you and your better half again.

My wife says she is "IN" this year, but we'll have to see as time gets closer.

I'm in! (times two)

Well, this looks like too much fun to pass up!
I have a DR-Z strategically located in Powell, WY poised to hall me through some Montana dirt.
I'm an old guy and will be attending with my dad, also on a DR-Z, so we hope there is no "DQ due to Failure to Maintain Minimum Speed".
I'll pony-up in a couple of days after PayPal does some account verification thing.
I'm looking forward to meeting some of you.
