Yes I have heard that moving the engine forward is a good idea. The BM is a bit rear heavy.

I had a chat with Jim Cray the other day. He agrees with Ritchie Moore about rod length ( a longer rod gives more torque).

. . . More torque at higher rpm. Shorter rods give more torque at lower rpms.
