Yes, but I'd still consider that "spanking a cow," so it's at least partially relevant here. Happy landings.

That transmission sounds like crap. You should have someone look at it. :)

YOU DID PUT OIL IN IT RIGHT?!?!

Tried to call today but Verizon kept telling me your number was changed/disconnected/etc.

Yes haha! I did remember the oil! GL-5 80-90. It shifts like Butter. No really, its remarkable. Got about 40-50 miles on it.

One missed shift at third gear. my fault i think. Being a little deliberate and slightly gentle jamming the shift lever, if not with the box itself

I'll try and call you later after I put the kid to bed

(Havent been on this bike in four months.... what a hunk of ... :wtf) lol

What a total epic adventure.

Let me count the things that shit the bed or were damaged on this trip:

Centerstand, (need new one)

Left front blinker (needs lens)

Roo bar (needs to be un-bent)

Zega bags and left side rack (needs a swift kick in the ass)

CC fork brace (Done, toast, pic posted in Friday Picture thread)

Ignition switch (Toast, stole headlight toggle switch and scabbed the wahrs together)

Headlights (left one done, right one acting all kinds of flickery)

Forks? probably maybe OK, but you know me. It made it home 450 miles of interstate at ludicrous speed, so maybe, you know...

What an EPIC WEEKEND

I wish I riding right now.

Clutch perch smashed but operable

Flat front tire (fixed)

Good God Man. We'll be needing slightly more information before we determine the awesomeness of the adventure ... of course, this list is an acceptable beginning. It does contain the proper amounts of forshadowing, impending doom, and 'Eurika!' moments.

Facebook post:

1200 mile epic, epic weekend. Tragedy, comedy, laughs, tears, boredom, excitement, fast interstates, awesome trails, border crossings, new friends, old friends, hail mary bike repairs, just fucking incredible. Just one thing i want to know: where did the panties on my bike come from?

Were you singing "La Cucaracha" around minute 3 there?

Panties weren't mine, but I'da been tempted to leave em. You have one of the hardest ridden GS's I know of.
