Kinda interested in that Powerdynamo. The starter is starting to act funny on my /5, though it's probably just 40+ year old wiring. It kick starts pretty ok, thankfully. The bike is getting a make0ver and I'm thinking of upgrading some stuff for reliability.

I notice that it doesn't have a safety relay to prevent the starting of an already running engine. Is that really a big deal with the magic button?
the lockout relay is of course, really nice if the starter button sticks. I've tried starting mine when it was running and it complains bitterly but immediately, and so far I havent chipped a tooth

He says that Simon Pavey says that above 3rd gear, it equal to a modern 450, or better.

HE also said it jacks like proper monolever and that it was really gripping Simon until Paul told him to stop blipping the throttle, and trying to ride it like a small single. Go easy and steady on the throttle inputs, and it will smooth out, which apparently was the case.
Thank you Stagehand.

I have been racing a 100GS and now the ST. The GS paralever was much smoother than the monolever.
But The monolever is helping a lot to lift the bike over ditches and tree trunks. I changed something in the shock that helps helps with the monolever.( I like 'm both, they are just different)

Thanks again for the reply.

That is indeed bad news, he seemed like he was a bit of a character.
