How it all started.

In the late 60's, my older brothers friend Johnny would give me rides on his custom Harley chopper and the seed was planted. In the late 70's I went to work in Johnny's Harley shop sweeping floors. I watched as the Pans, Knuckles and Shovelheads rolled in and out with their new S/U carbs and Primo belt drives. The dream was nurished, I told myself right then and there I would own one someday.
In the late 80's I got married and had children. My wife was very convincing that our children needed a father more than I needed a bike. The dream was placed on hold. But I made myself a promise, that when my kids were grown, I would have my Harley. That Harley had to be just like the Harleys I watched roll in and out of the shop in the 70's. It had to be black, it had to have flames, it had to have chrome , and most of all, it had to have a Shovelhead.
Well it has been over 30 years and my dream has come true. My kids are grown, I even had a Grand Daughter. I found the Harley that fits the bill. She is a 1974 FX Superglide Shovelhead, Black w/blue flames. Chrome chrome chrome.
My family friend Johnny is still around, but he is now John. His little shop is still around also, just not so little anymore. You might have heard of him and his shop if you own a Harley. John Ventriglia RIVERA-PRIMO, its all his fault, giving kids rides on Harley choppers plants seeds that need to grow, even if it takes 30 plus years.
Sorry the pix are so big. I cant figurre out how to reduce the size. I am open to any help in that area.

Great looking Superglide! While my daily riders are a Road King, and a V-Strom, I still enjoy riding my old Ironhead Sportster for those laid back rides through the country.

Nothing better than an old shovel. Had mine for years. My GSA is a great bike, but nothing makes me rock like the old Harleys.

Nice lookin Shovel, Old Bikes Rule...
