Entrance to San Gabriel Canyon

Hwy 39 to East fork, puts you at Glendora Mountain Road. Approx 160 twists will drop you down to route 66 in Glendora. I just hate to stop and take pictures, followed by kick starting.

Camp ground is small but nice.

Manker Flats, lots of hikers in the area. Great place to hang out only a few miles from the big city and you would never know.

A shot looking back towards the mountains. The one with the snow cap is Mt. Baldy.

Back in the day you could connect all the mountain roads for one long ride, but due to heavy rains, fires and budget cutbacks, not any more.

Sundays are busy, be carefull.

This way out of the mountains can be painfull and expensive. The day I was there, three wrecks. Ride safe.

L.A.County Fire Air Rescue, must be one hell of a ride? I have always wanted to go up, just not laying flat. Ride safe. These pilots have huge balls landing these birds anywhere they want.

Its the small stuff that always needs attention.

I found its the wiring connectors that cause the most issues, they dont like the vibration. The ignition switch connectore vibrate loose and contact metal, not good. The fuel line was traveling between the cylinders and boiling the fuel before entering the carb., not good. with the small issues fixed the Adventures is sweet. Well the oil leaks? Its just marking its territory! Its not leaking just speeping. Its all how you look at it. The oil bathing the rear break is all part of the adventure!

I understand that Steve McQueen spent some time here in his youth and donated a nice sum of money to the school when he past.
