Florida Panhandle - Sunday 1/16 Ride Apalach. Forest

Hey All,

I am planning on riding down on the east side of the Apalachicola River on some of the Forest roads.

Anyone up to meeting in Bristol in the AM?

No real destination planned, just south and east from Bristol.

Didn't miss much

Porterfish,

You did not miss much this weekend. The Forest was heavily armed.

Hunters everywhere. Rocker & I rode a bit, but was politely flagged down & informed by one of the hunters that there was a pretty good chance that we would get shot. We took his advise and headed back for the pavement. I have never had so many guys with guns looking pissed at me before in my life. It was very uncomfortable.

Deer seaon ends mid Febuary, I will stay clear untill then. I was a bummer because the forest roads were in good shape and quite fun.

It sounds like it was a good thing I decided against coming over, not much a fan of angry gun toting hunters, many of them are bad enough without being angry about my presence.
Keep me posted on upcoming stuff, would definately like to meet up.

Well you can still make it CH--just jump in the DeLorean, set the flux capacitor for January '05, and run that sucker up to 88 MPH!

I don't think they make sand tires in sizes to fit the DeLorean tho

I went on a ride like this 8 years ago.
It sucked, hunters everywhere.

Seriously....where the hell do you chuckleheads drag this old stuff up from.
