I'm in Huntsville, ride offroad and any gravel/dirt I can find! I have an adventure type bike and a full on dualsport. Have a race this w/e but usually ride every w/e. If interested let me know. Rob

Sure Rob,
I would enjoy the opportunity to see some of the local sights. I could come over and meet up for the day. I understand that Huntsville is 40?min away?

Well. The Canucks made it to Llano. I will let them post their impressions of their first day but...

I think it went well.

So where is the best and quickest place to get my motorcycle training course done. I have rode bikes since my first minibike with a Briggs 5 hp motor haha. Never had a motorcycle licese. Just moved here. Got my Texas Drivers License today and they told me i could not get a motorcycle permit or anything until i take the riding course. Would like to find the quickest class because im very busy and its difficult to get a entire day to do this.
Edit. Im in Cleveland, tx.

You'll need to google it. Its the MSF basic rider course. Its a two day thing and it usually runs Sat and Sun, but some instructors probably offer alternative schedules. If you don't have an motorcycle endorsement on your license and they catch you riding, I think they impound your bike. Of course, operating a 2 ton SUV without a license is a ticket and they let you drive away.

Anyway, pass the course, take a written test at the DMV and stand in line for a few hours and then you'll be legal.

Ha! That reminds of a buddy who has seizures occasionally after combat in Iraq so the VA pulled his MC license but he can still drive his four door 4x4 Ford 250 dually?

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

A buddy that used to live here (he since moved to Cali) had a woman pull out in front of his FJR, sent him over the bars and hood and broke his arm. Woman didn't have a license or insurance. The cops gave her 2 tickets and she was on her way. Now that we're talking about this, I'm going to check and make sure I have un/under insured motorist coverage on my bikes.

This kind of logic would be funny if it wasn't true...
