N.Thailand Ride-Part 2

OK so the last time I did this ride I turned around about 1/2 way because I was solo and better alive then lost in the jungle and ???
So I found two willing souls in Chiang Mai. John on his KLX 250 and Andy on his Honda Phantom 200cc,
yes a Honda Phantom. In Thailand you quickly learn that most bikes here can go just about anywhere rider willing.

So I will pick this near where I turned back last time.

Anyway this little town is a jump off point for tourist to do a number of things like Bamboo Raft trips and Elephant rides

Sawasdee! Nice trip report. I have yet to ride in Norther Thailand but I have done that bamboo rafting that you took a picture of. Very scary.

great pics! I'll be there next year at this time, doing the same thing!!
I've done the elephant ride/bamboo raft thing before, kinda touristy, but then again, I was a tourist! the raft ride was awesome though, they were one guide short, so I got to pole/paddle our raft, good thing I kinda knew how to run a river! had a good time with the guides afterwards having some beers.
can't wait to go back.

Great to see pictures of you all riding in Thailand! Ive been to Chaing Mai twice and did my first "dual sport" ride about 15 years ago....I rented a Honda 125 and took off into the hills! Brings back some great memories, thanks!
