I hate to be boring... but why would you want to hang that thing on an airhead?

Last I checked the fuel tank on my 1150GS held about 22 liters, which was woefully inadequate.

I was laughing until I rode a R90/6 with a similar fairing. What a treat on a 60 mph smooth road without wind.

Rode an RT up and down the coast of California in December a few years back.

I dug it.

Hey Fred...

I've got these stem spacers left over if you need them.

P1040907

I can't remember how many I needed. I believe you'll need 10mm, and these together are 5mm. I'm sure you know that alls balls will equip you with some when you get your bearings.

After the GSPD, the lousy fuel capacity and poor range of the 1150GS was pretty hard to take. 22 or 23 liters, that was it.

I'm so in.

Herr Beater, you WILL call me next wrench-time, ja?

Please?

I'd love to help.

Please?

I'll bring a beer or two...

baldwithglasses screwed with this post 02-01-2011 at 06:53 PM Reason: edited because 'beer' is spelled b-e-e-r', not b-e-a-r, and it would be silly to bring a bear to a wrenching party

Luckily nobody took pics when we stopped for lunch. I wrecked twice in the parking lot of the pizza place.

I think 'wrecking' and 'doing donuts till you lay your bike down' are two different things.

i'd like to see how it's done as well. if it's a fairly easy swap, then one might be able to find an 1150gs adv tank for less cost than a pd tank.

my guess is that it won't work with stock forks.

looks like a fun night in atlanta.

There you go, Blake- another excuse to take a trip to Atlanta. I've got a couch on which you may stay.
