Wow, we got lucky. Only got about 9" from the storm, and that is child's play up here. in the NY snow belt. Looks like you guys got it a lot worse!!

And yes we are crazy to live up here, but what the hell, someone has to do it.

I had my dirt bike out in the neighborhood in the snow the other day. We lucked out with this big storm here in northeast PA. We got 4" of snow here followed by sleet, which was better than the freezing rain accumulation they were predicting. Still, what fun driving to work on roads covered in thick slush, and then having to shovel the stuff when I got home. Oh, my back!
Roll me away...........

I grew up in Oklahoma, I remeber the snow but I have never seen anything like that. That is why I stay out here in NorCal, the time is 11:20 am and it is 56 and sunny. Maybe I'll go for a ride.

I think the grand total in Chicago was 21 inches in about 36 hours

The cars in the picture I posted were driving along and ended up getting stranded on Lake Shore Drive for 10-12 hours. They eventually had to be rescued by firefighters on snowmobiles and leave their cars behind.
