2011 Cross Country Cycles Pine Barrens 300

Enrty Form

http://www.pinebarrens500.org/2011-PB300-entry2.pdf

The 2011 Cross Country Cycles Pine Barrens 300 will take place April 16th and 17th in Hammonton NJ. I want to Thank the Sponsor, Dan Notte, the owner of Cross Country Cycles, and Power House Honda in Metuchen NJ, for stepping up and Sanctioning the event.

The PB300 is a GPS guided tour of the NJ PineLands for Adventure Type Motorcycles. It's designed to be enjoyed on a "Big Bike". Most of the other "Dual Sport" events are designed for Enduro type machines, and then say it's big bike friendly, when in fact they are enduros without time keeping. Thats what makes the PB300 different, the rouute is "GSable", an expierenced rider can finish the ride on a GS class machine and actually have fun.

Because the route passes thru Four State Parks, Two Wildlife Management Areas, as well as almost 20 Municipality's, all of which require Permits and Insurance, we limit the number of entrys and type of machines allowed to ensure approval, now and in the future. I'm sure most of you are aware of the issues facing Off-Road events in New Jersey. Special Use Permits for the State Parks are becoming harder to obtain, due to pressure from the environmentalist's, and budget and manpower issues in the State Parks. You may remember how many events last year were shortened or had sections thrown out. By promising the Powers that be, that all machines are street legal, limiting the entry's and route to "sand and gravel roads" only, we hopefully can have a great event, this year and in the future.

Entry for the event is open to CCC customers first then will open to the public in a couple of weeks. Please support Cross Country Cycles, they are the only dealer I know of, to sanction an off-road event. Call them for tires and other parts and gear, and mention that you want to ride the PB300.

Regards

Jack

This is one of my favorite events ever, thanks for making it happen Jack!

Keep me in mind if you need any pre-riders, or trail clearing. I would be more than happy to help out.

May have to bring the old 950 out for this one!
Good to see that it's happening again, I had a lot of fun in 2006.

Happy Time!
