Garmin Mapping Software.

Here I am in Bonnie Scotland, planning this Summer's vacation to California and Nevada. Amongst other things, SWMBO and I are planning on taking in the Moto GP / AMA Superbike meeting at Laguna Seca.

But....can I find the route to purchase a copy of City Navigator North America V6...?

As a last resort, I had thought of lugging the laptop with us and buying the software in the US, but the Garmin site indicates that it isn't sold separately from the hardware in the US. So, I'm a bit stuck? Can anyone help me progress this one?
