My take on it thus far from first cull of the PR info to try and get to the meat and potatoes - The new 2013 BMW R 1200 GS - http://www.mcnews.com.au/2013_Bikes/...00GS/Intro.htm

Jim,
Now they just need to put together a watercooled ST version. I think it would sell lot hot cakes this time around!!

I didn't expect it, but BMW retained Brembo branding on the calipers, just as seen in Wunderlich predictions.

I agree with you. Wunderlich predicted everything right from the begining

Ugh, it looks like the same demented elf that started doing their cars is now doing the styling on their motorcycles.

It's so drastic plastic disgusting. A technical marvel yes, styling

The all new GS certainly looks impressive. But, I am always a generation behind so I think I will still be looking for a low mileage camhead from someone who just has to have the latest and greatest.

I will catch up when the next generation is introduced in 2023, if I am still riding and alive that is.

For me it looks horrible. The nose and the plastic bits that protect the rediator. I am glad I did not wait for this and got my '12

Headlight cluster

If I could put that headlight cluster on my '09 I'd be set for life. I love it! Especially the "C" shaped LED.

I like the TBW and the wet clutch. The new ESA looks to be pretty cool too. But the bike looks horrible. I'll happily stand pat with my 2012.

Probably uses whale oil or elephant tusk oil, but of course BMW branded and uber expensive.

Interesting to hear folks' perspectives ... to me the Wunderlich drawings looked decent but from these angles the beak and side covers make the real bike look like shite....

The new tire sizes are;

Front 120/70 19
Rear 170/60 17

It looks like the front tire size was previously used on the harley v-rod and I saw pilot roads in the rear size.
