Those are some pretty ugly looking welds on those pricey head guards. You'd think they'd do up some nice ones for the photo session ;-)

The crash bars are a BMW option and not touratwat they just do the small aloy covers behind them that seem pretty pointless to me. If you crunch through those crash bars your going to need more than aloy plate to save the heads.

So if those bars aren't Touratechs, are they factory BMWs? I haven't seen factory BMW engine guards and I didn't know they were available yet so that would be interesting.
Still though, those ugly welds are the first thing I noticed too. If a company is going to highlight their product, you'd think they would make damn sure everything in the photo was perfect instead of looking like it was welded by a blind man.

BMW also offers crash bars for the current model 1200 GS.

On second thought, I went back and looked and BMW does have photos of engine guards for the new bike. However, those ones with the crappy welds are certainly not BMW ones as the style is all different. It would only seem logical those are also Touratechs.

The wet head tool kit is rumored to include JB Weld.

My guess is GSA refers to GS ABS model. When I was a dealer, and before they made an Adventure model, GSA simply meant GS ABS, though on this and other forums the Adventure model was referred to as the "GSA". Internally, it was "GSA Adventure".
There's no way the Adventure is only $400 more! QUOTE=khale;19904980]And the GSA is $21,390, a mere $400 more? I smell something fishy.[/QUOTE]

Tourashylock is also apt especially when they have different pricing between Sweden an Das Vaterland.
Then again I'm problably envious of their profits

But since the wet clutch is now part of the oil cooling circuit, it somehow supports the claim of "all new". |
