MCN have a snap of a BMW R1200GS with an Ohlins Mechatronic suspension set-up. That's what the Multistrada is fitted with, and I've heard chatter that they're working on a plug-and-play replacement system for BMW's ESA.

Whether it's something that will turn up on a future BMW, or it's intended as an aftermarket part is a different matter.

MCN apparently has some better spy pics in the current issue... It's only a matter of hours until they propagate through the Internet.

From their websites, I guess they want you to buy the paper issue.
Blurry pictures because of BMW Motorrad image embargo?

Very interesting. I was hopeful that the reports were true when this surfaced in the spring. Thanks Wanderer, for this photo. That is the best shot I have seen so far. After not seeing any new info for such a long time I was begining to wonder if the project had died.

I really hope a "standard model" won't be as wide as that test mule looks.

One of the reasons I like the non-Adventure more is the excess width of that massive tank.

It's going to be as wide as the current Adv. model see the pic. and it's looks like they use the big tank dimension to hide the coolers and fans for the engine so the Adv. model it's going to be massive.
some notes:
The radial front calipers is a nice upgrade
The air intake must be in a higher position
The LCD dash panel with sunburn protector looks good

I like what I see (first real photo I've seen). In addition, I bet there will be a lot of other improved little goodies that can't be seen in this photo. As for looks, I don't care (I did'nt buy my 09 GS based on looks, but rather for its wonderfull practicality, real world performance etc., etc.). Anyway, the GS is very important to BMW and one of there best sellers, and because of that I'm sure this new water-cooled version will be something very special.
