Hey NLS,
Yes it's true! I stumbled upon the first one to arrive in Greece this Wednesday, while doing the 6k (10k km) service to my Adventure...

Sadly no demo yet...
Cheers,
George

Hi George. At Panagiotopoulos I see.

If not a demo, what do they have it there for?
Except if IT IS for demo but first they are running it in.
(good thing to do, because some shops don't do it I hear for the first 1000Km)

Anything else they told you about it?

Same colour as here. But I chose for different wheels.
The tires are different from the ones that were on it at the carshow here.

I was torn between spokes and cast, and went for the cast wheels, as mine will be staying on the tarmac. IMO they look much better than the cast wheels on the twin cam GS.

Mine will also stay on tarmac, but I chose the wire spokes to give it a timeless look. The Cast wheels also look good, but I might find them boring after 2 years.
Besides, for the 'look' of the bike I am going a bit more off-road. Crash bars, fog lights, ...

The new spokes are also nicer than the old ones (actually the wheel centers).

I know there was significant weight difference between spokes and cast in current model (I went for spokes), with the cast being lighter. I wonder about the wight difference now.

Hi,
Sadly no demos until March, or late February if we're lucky...
If you want to "see" one up close , they have one in Kifisias as well, since yesterday!

Cheers,
George

We have a leak of the new GSA!!!

Actually I think it will once more take TWO years to replace the Adventure.
Plenty of good reasons:

- No leaks about the Adventure model (this not a reason, this is an indication).

- Happened before (both reason and indication).

- They want to promote the normal GS, before they renew interest with an updated Adventure.

- They give time to people that still want oil-head.

- They have a tough job to fit this in an Adventure. It's not only the water cooling (they will possibly use completely different radiators, possibly a single bigger), it's also the HUGE new air-box that really presents issues to fitting a huge gas tank.

And since I make predictions, let me already predict what will be the first major update to normal (water) GS:

- Update to front forks (yeah I believe they will revert to the diameter of the forks of -2012).
- Minor power boost (130 easily).
- Color HUD like GT.
(damn I want these already hehehehe)

Keep this to remember 2 years from now.

Erm... nope.

This is one of the oldest leaks for the normal GS.
This is a normal GS but covered under much "anti-spy" sh*t.

Damn, I had a call from my dealer to say that they can supply the bike with Touratech Zega Pro metal panniers and racks instead of the Varios. Works out at another 400 ($640 ish) difference in price. Should I do it? More protection I guess.

Can someone with photoshop show me what this bike will look like with the adventure style metal pannier frames?
